Job Description
The Service Advisor is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and advice to customers bringing in their vehicles for maintenance or repairs. They will act as a liaison between the customer and the service technicians, ensuring clear communication and transparent service recommendations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
2. Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them.
3. Provide customers with service recommendations based on their vehicle's needs and manufacturer recommendations.
4. Estimate costs for services and repairs and obtain customer approval before work is performed.
5. Schedule service appointments and manage the service lane to ensure timely completion of work.
6. Communicate with technicians to ensure they have all necessary information to complete repairs.
7. Update customers on the status of their vehicle and notify them of any delays or additional work needed.
8. Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any unresolved issues.
9. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service appointments, and vehicle history.
10. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as processing payments and completing service paperwork.
Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the automotive industry.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and repair procedures.
4. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize customer needs.
5. Proficient computer skills and experience with service management software.
6. Attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
7. Ability to work well with a team and collaborate with technicians and other staff members.
