Job Title: Accountant

Location: Gauteng East, South Africa

Responsibilities:
- Collate, prepare and analyze financial reports and statements for management decision-making
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Provide support during external audits and tax filings
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics of the company
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Handle any other ad-hoc financial tasks as required

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA, CIMA, ACCA) is preferred
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
